■概要
  Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) offers higher efficiency than induction and wound-field generators. This higher efficiency, however, manifests itself as a lack of natural damping. When connected to an AC voltage source, a small, sustained sub-synchronous oscillation is often observed.
  In this paper, we present a set of nonlinear differential equations that is specifically suitable for stability analysis and computer simulation of PMSGs driven by an AC voltage or a constant volt-per-Hz converter. This set of equations is used for establishing the aforementioned instability associated with PMSGs and for analyzing the stability of a PMSG with a serially connected damping controller and the stability of a maximum power tracking scheme for a multiple wind turbine system.
