■概要
Gas insulation systems are widely used in electric power systems owing to their advantages such as compact size, less requirement for maintenance, and high reliability. However, it is well known that the existence of free particles is one of main causes of the insulation failures. In the presentation, I will discuss the study on particle electromechanics both from the theoretical grounds and from the experimental observations.

講義前半はタイの電力事情や講師が勤務するチュラロンコン大学について簡単に紹介をして頂き、後半は講師の研究内容について解説をして頂いた。本学の学生の他、他大学からも多くの大学院生（２７名）が聴講に訪れた。講演後、学生たちから下記のような質問が出て、講師と学生の間で議論が行われた。
1. シミュレーションと実験結果に差異が生じた際の対処法について
2. 粒子が電界によって動くメカニズムについて
3. 実験に使用する微小粒子の加工について
