■概要
In recent years, polypropylene with high melting point, excellent dielectric property and non-crosslinking characteristic has been considered as a potential candidate for recyclable power cable insulation both in DC and AC systems. And most importantly, PP is a
type of thermoplastic material and it is easy to recycle, which is helpful for the environmental protection. Also Polymer material used as insulation of electrical and electronic devices is possibly subjected to high energy irradiation rays when it works in radioactive environment such as nuclear power plant and/or spacecraft. Radiation induced degradation on the material has been considered as an important reason for the failure of the devices.
